From the plantations, straight to your cup, Senbird Tea partners with established tea harvesters to bring you premium and organic Japanese tea. In Japanese, “Sen (千)” means one thousand which conveys the prosperity and longevity of life, while the bird symbolizes joy and balance. Together, Senbird represents the harmony of a healthy and happy life from physical and mental well-being.
Our goal: support local farmers by sharing the taste of premium Japanese tea globally.
The number of Japan’s local tea harvesters have fallen 70% since the 90’s, due to large corporations mass producing low to mid grade teas from less costly parts of Asia. Our tea harvesters have been producing tea for many generations, using traditional methods that are deemed organic and authentic by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries of Japan.
Achieve a moment of mindfulness in every cup of tea.
The art of preparing tea asks for focus and attention, especially for the more delicate types of Japanese tea. Each variety of tea has a recommended brew for the best taste. All teas are available in environmentally-friendly corn fiber pyramid tea bags that are convenient to use in tea cups and tea pots. Enjoy a cup of authentic Japanese tea, anywhere and anytime –whether you’re in the office, traveling, or at home.
Senbird began from the love and appreciation of Japanese tea. After tasting some of the finest and delicious teas from local areas in Japan, Sho and Celia developed relationships with tea farmers to bring high-quality tea to customers globally. Thus, Senbird was born — so anyone can enjoy the taste of premium tea and a moment of mindfulness and relaxation. Your journey begins here.
Enthusiasts of fine Japanese tea, Sho and Celia wanted to bring the same experience to any tea lover. After tasting premium tea from local farmers in Japan, they were impressed by the dedication and commitment to using organic, traditional harvesting methods and wanted to support local farmers by sharing their tea globally. They are advocates of physical and mental well-being and believe that a moment of daily mindfulness can be found in the simple experience of drinking a cup of tea.
